“Damn, It’s Hot! I Need a Cold One” showcases the dangers of alcohol via outdated, out-of-print, 16-millimeter filmstrips. The vintage educational films, which come courtesy of the movie buffs at Cinema Bomar, are unintentionally hilarious. Sure, drinking and driving is one of the worst ideas in history, but it’s hard to take that message seriously in gems like Kathy, Mike and Alcohol, a story about two teens, a car and a bottle of rum, or So Long, Pal!, a crazy-costumed ode to why boozing and cruising don’t mix. Things get hazier in Alco Beat, Cahill when the po-po start guzzling the good, er, we mean, the bad stuff. And in Everything Looks So Normal, a boss realizes his staff’s decrease in productivity and new habit of stealing supplies and running over each other with forklifts can all be attributed to three-martini lunches. 8:30 p.m. Domy, 1709 Westheimer.
