''Deth P. Sun: New Works''

You may have seen Deth P. Sun’s work at Urban Outfitters or in Nylon magazine, or permanently inked on the skin of some of his biggest fans. The illustrator and painter from Berkeley, California, appeals to the hip, fashion-driven crowd and elite, experienced collectors alike.

“New Works,” on view at Domy Books, was inspired by Sun’s recent fascination with botany. “The new paintings are probably influenced by the fact that I’m more into plants these days. [I’ve been] visiting botanic gardens, traveling to see different nature stuff, buying books on exotic plants, and then buying ten tubes of green,” said Sun. “They look kind of different, but it’s the same theme I’m always working on.” Through April 26. 1709 Westheimer.
