The fur will fly and pet-able bodies will float through the air with the greatest of ease (and maybe a little coaxing from a rubber ball) at DockDogs, which makes its annual stop at Discovery Green. The event is part of a nationwide competitive series in which canines compete in agility events that involve running off a 20-foot, specially built dock into a 40-foot-long pool. Categories for this stop include Outdoor Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieval. Finally, there’s Iron Dog, a best-of-the-best competition combining all three categories. Registration is open to any human companion willing to pay an entrance fee. A dog costume contest will also be held.
