“Ten queer plays in ten gay hours” sounds like a sure shot to us.
There’s also this bonus: It’s not too late to participate.
Unhinged Productions is currently looking for submissions for Drama-Rama-Thon, where amateur playwrights and actors/actresses in the GLBT community showcase their original productions.
“I can promise you that there will be something for everybody — weird, silly and profound,” says Unhinged Artistic Director Joe Angel Babb about the first-time festival. “Some may turn out to be gems that will be fully produced in the near future.”
The shindig will feature staged readings spread over the course of a week in February. The festival’s conclusion at 1 p.m. February 11 will run through all ten plays during a marathon presentation.
The submission deadline is November 14. The ten winners will be announced sometime in December.
Drama-Rama-Thon is scheduled to happen from February 2 through February 11 at Frenetic Theater, 5102 Navigation Boulevard. For more information, go to the Unhinged Productions Web site.
