The day before Christmas Eve is like the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The family obligations havent begun and there isnt much to celebrate yet except not having to go to work the next day so you might as well drink. Warehouse Lives second annual Eve of Christmas Eve Party offers the opportunity to do that and more. The event features the Machos, a pure rock group that, on its MySpace page, says that it sounds like pain, that its only influence is pain and that you will feel this pains power and succumb to it
and it is good, for pain is weakness leaving the body. Well, doesnt that sound like yuletide fun? Oh, and therell be special holiday cocktails (a good bartender can do a thousand and one wicked things with eggnog), plus, proceeds to go Toys for Tots, so it wont be mere holly-jolly self-indulgence. 8 p.m. 813 St. Emanuel Street. For tickets and information, call 713-225-5483 or www.warehouselive.com. $15.
