The Bayou City gets its lights turned on at the 2014 Foam Glow 5K Run. Set in the picturesque NRG Park (yes, we’re aware of the meaning of sarcasm), the Foam Glow is based on a pretty simple idea. Runners and thrill seekers wear as much white as possible and head off through the course. Along the way they’ll be soaked in glowing foam of every color. Blacklights are set up all along the course so runners can watch as they’re splished, splashed and splattered. There’s an after party at the site with food, music and more blacklights, no doubt. Foam Glow is part of a national event raising funds for local children’s hospitals.
