The John Cleary Gallery spotlights the work of more than a dozen up-and-coming photographers in Found: Discoveries of FotoFest and PhotoNOLA. Gallery owner Catherine Couturier says that while the works cover a wide range of styles, subjects and sizes, the one quality they share is a high level of excellence. John DAgostino contributes the graceful and colorful The Arms of Undertow, an abstract image composed of swirling, vivid blues and greens. Michael Donnor is represented by Elizabeth, a black-and-white portrait of a face floating against a dark background; the image is scratched and the print is burned around the edges. And Lynn Saville shows Warehouse + Bridge, 2002, an urban scene caught just at dusk. Each of the photographs is extremely well made, says Couturier.
