Putting a man on the moon put a sleepy little Gulf Coast community on the map. The art exhibit ยFrom Rice Fields to Rockets: JSC in Houstonยs Bay Area, the Journey in Sights and Soundsย recounts the dramatic changes the area saw over the last 50 years, since the inception of the Johnson Space Center. ยFrom Rice Fields to Rocketsย uses photos, models, recordings and artwork to tell the JSC/Bay Area story. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
