On this day, which honors a leader who sought equality and social justice for all people, don’t forget the kiddos. Take them to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Little ones will get to make wings-of-peace hats as they learn about the life and legacy of Dr. King, Rosa Parks and other great leaders. A freedom rally and march and a recitation of King’s beloved “I Have a Dream” speech will inspire your inner activist, too. MLK believed that “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve.” But it’s kids ย and grown-ups ย who will be well served today when they pay tribute to a national hero. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1500 Binz.
