We’ll admit, sometimes hip-hop concerts can be a bore. But The Bench, the monthly hip-hop showcase that’s been happening since November 2004, is anything but. Interactive and charismatic host B-Boy Craig brings positive, good-fun vibes, and H-town’s finest emcees and DJs bring the sounds. Today at Warehouse Live, The Bench will kick off with another event, The Listening, in which up-and-coming producers will sign up to show off their freshest beats. In another segment of the evening, Krush the Mic, rappers can get on stage and freestyle for a couple of minutes. Of course, no popular hip-hop party would be complete without its headlining DJs and emcees, so later on, DJ Baby Jae of the infamous Krackernuttz will flex the decks, and hip-hop duo Agra and D1 will bust da rhymes.
