Comedian Heath Hyche hails from Birmingham, Alabama, home of many a defunct pro football team (six in all). ยEvery time we have a league, they have a competition to name the team,ย Hyche says. ยAnd weยre called ยThe Magic City.ย I say, call them the Birmingham Magicians, because theyยre going to disappear!ย Hyche describes his act as ยa one-man, high-energy sketch-comedy show.ย His favorite part is his Elvis-impersonator character Kevin. ยThe back story is he didnยt know that he was going to get to perform, so in this emergency situation his estranged ex-wife Carol is running the light and sound cues. And theyยre very fortunate because the booth is exactly 50 feet from the stage, and that is the exact distance she has to keep from him at all times.ย
