The Houston Fringe Festival, produced by multimedia dance company FrenetiCore, is a showcase of offbeat and outsider theater, burlesque, puppetry, dance, performance art, comedy, music, film and visual arts. Highlights from this year’s festival include Texas playwright Ryan Cockerham’s Most Extreme Ocean Adventure, a rocking comedy set aboard Christopher Columbus’s famous voyage. Modern dance lovers won’t want to miss New York duo Sobers & Godley’s The Shit We Lost in the Fire, a three-part performance that utilizes spoken word, music, dance and audience participation.
