According to the ancient Mayans, we’ll all be around only another week or so, and what better way to go out than laughing? And enjoying pizza and beer (or, as organizers call them, ”Italian pie and fermented wheat sodas”). It’s all part of Houston Improv Festival Presents: The End of the World, where improv actors take a look at the coming last days. ”Originally, we scheduled the show on a Saturday night, but there was a conflict,” explains HIF Executive Director Todd Boring (whose name is hopefully not a harbinger for his show) in a press release. ”We could have pre-sold all of those tickets and then had no way to offer refunds in the post-apocalypse.”
