Dallas photographer Paul Greenberg has chronicled urban life through his black-and-white panoramic images for the past 30 years. His new exhibit, ยImmigrant Entrepreneurs,ย is a collection of photographs featuring Dallas-based business owners who came from Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East to pursue the American Dream. Each entrepreneur is shown in two portraits ย one at his workplace and one at home, allowing viewers to compare the nine-to-five lives of these men and women with their home lives. In one pair, we see a Korean woman surrounded by spools of thread and sewing machines at her cluttered tailor shop; at home, sheยs surrounded by her extended family, and the room has stark decor. In another, we see a man in an industrial kitchen filled with huge mixing machines and racks of baked goods; at home, heยs with his wife in a room filled with art and furniture that reflects his Vietnamese heritage.
