Island Holiday: Dickens on the Strand

Dickens on The Strand, sponsored by Galveston Historical Foundation, gave islanders a chance to journey through history this weekend. The holiday event features hundreds of costumed vendors and performers who provide a look at the pageantry of the British Empire,at a time when commercial and cultural ties provided a strong connection between London and Texas’ largest and richest city.
