Jurassic Park, the story of a dinosaur nature reserve gone amok, was meant to be a dont mess with Mother Nature because payback is a bitch cautionary tale. But most people were too busy screaming every time a huge dinosaur bit somebody in half to notice. The film features Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern as brainiacs sent to inspect a park thats a sort of demented petting zoo, with genetically engineered live dinosaurs as the attractions. Richard Attenborough appears as the parks founder, and Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello as his grandkids (its Richards who utters the famous meat-a-saurus line).
The film, based on the book by Michael Crichton, is one of the top-grossing movies ever (yes, ever). Thats not a surprise; director Steven Spielberg packed in plenty of squeal-worthy surprises, close calls and run! moments for two hours of jump-out-of-your-seat fun. 11:55 p.m. today and tomorrow.
