If you’ve ever wanted to pump up with those Saturday Night Live muscle heads Hans and Franz, make your way down to Improv to catch a performance from comedian Kevin Nealon. He is, after all, one half of that meaty late night duo of olde. As a cast member during the SNL late ’80s golden age, Nealon was the man responsible for a number of timeless characters — including the inimitable Hans and Franz and The Subliminal Man. And while those faux muscles sure were fantastic, this jack-of-many-jokes has much more to offer.

That quick, raw wit has kept him on top, well after hanging up the Franz bodysuit. Nealon is now one of the most versatile television, theatrical and stand-up comedians of his generation. He’s starred in a number of classic comedy films — from Adam Sandler’s The Wedding Singer to the cult favorite Grandma’s Boy — and can now be found in reruns on the smaller screen in the Golden Globe-winning series Weeds. He’s also recently taping his first one-hour special Now Hear Me Out, which is set to air on Showtime.
