The blockbuster musical Rent is slated to leave the Great White Way soon, its 12year run a feat by anyones standards. But it pales in comparison to its inspiration, Puccinis timeless opera La Bohème, which the Houston Grand Opera is performing today. Recession-worried twentysomethings and opera buffs will find something to like in the work (sung in Italian with English subtitles), which centers on the love story between the poet Rodolfo and the ailing seamstress Mimi.
