Bald as an eagle and shaped like a large refrigerator, comic Lavell Crawford certainly cuts a distinctive figure onstage. And it’s all part of his act. “I got fired from McDonald’s for a bad attitude. I told a customer that we were out of Big Macs, and when he said, ‘There’s 12 behind you,’ I said, ‘Yes, but they’re mine.’” A stint as a crossing guard didn’t work out so well, either. “I’m lazy as hell…I never got out of the chair. The kids would say, ‘Hey, Mister, aren’t you going to walk us?’ and I’d say, ‘Hell, you run everywhere else, you can run across that street. That van’s only going 60 miles an hour, you could beat it!’”
