The two female writers who make up the male Magnus Flyte persona, Meg Howrey and Christina Lynch, will discuss City of Lost Dreams, the latest Flyte release. The action-adventure-supernatural-mystery-time trave-romance Dreams, sequel to City of Dark Magic, follows musicologist Sarah Weston as she scours Vienna, hoping to help a desperately ill friend.

Via press materials, Flyte says Sarahโ€™s character has changed a bit in the new novel. โ€œIn the sequel she is fighting to save the life of someone she loves, so sheโ€™s more focused. The challenges she faces are personal, and sheโ€™s questioning herself a lot more: what she believes, what she wants.โ€

As with Dreams, the location plays a large role in the story. In Magic, Vienna โ€” the city of Beethoven, Mozart and Freud โ€” proves to be a labyrinth of secrets and lies. Up against a powerful enemy, Sarah is forced to explore an ancient mystery in order to protect the people she loves. Both Howrey and Lynch will be on hand for the reading-and-signing session.
