Marsha Mason, a veteran Hollywood and stage actress, will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Gulf Coast Film Festival later this month.
Mason’s best-known films include Only When I Laugh, The Goodbye Girl and Cinderella Liberty (she won Golden Globes for the last two), but Art Attack still fondly remembers her as Sherry, Marty Crane’s peppy, banjo-playing girlfriend in the fourth season of Frasier.
Previous Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include Jon Lovitz and Melissa Gilbert.
The juried festival takes place in Kemah September 22 through 25. Mason will receive the award at a gala event on September 24.
