It’s 1904, the turn of the century in St. Louis and the biggest show in town is the World’s Fair — that is, unless you count the daily drama going on with the Smith family. Theatre Under the Stars’ debut production of Meet Me in St. Louis features Anneliese van der Pol (Chelsea in the Disney series That’s So Raven and Belle in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast) as Esther, the Smith sister who orchestrates everyone’s social life, but takes a few missteps when it comes to her romance with the boy next door. The show’s most famous song is, of course, “Meet Me in St. Louis,” but other standouts include “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “The Trolley Song.” 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sundays. Through October 11. Hobby Center, 800 Bagby. For information, call 713-558-8887 or visit www.www.tuts.com. $24 to $97.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 29. Continues through Oct. 11, 2009
