Your kids will learn that Martin Luther King Jr. is more than just the name of a street on the south side of town during MLK Day WonderWeek. Special activities for Monday include a mock civil rights rally with Dr. Kingยs famous ยI Have a Dreamย speech and music (noon), and Dream Portraits (10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.). As part of the celebration, the Second Generation Dance Company performs Martin, a production that chronicles the life of the slain civil rights leader (6:30 p.m. Thursday, 2 p.m. Saturday). Daily activities include the MLK Timeline (mark the events that shaped Dr. Kingยs life), Family Seal (design a symbol that represents your beliefs) and the Dream Wall (post your own dreams and share them with others). 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
