Thereย’s something about the American psyche that seems forever young, and thatย’s not always a good thing, especially in Azazel Jacobsย’s Mommaย’s Man, a 2008 independent film screening at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The story focuses on Mikey (Matt Boren), a husband and father who stops in to visit his parents in their Manhattan loft during a business trip. Everything seems normal enough until Mikey decides to stick around. He invents reasons for changing his plans, and soon enough it becomes pretty clear that Mikeyย’s not planning on going anywhere. 1001 Bissonnet. 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
