Bit of a Stretch Theatre Company, winner of Best New Theater Company at the 2012 Houston Theater Awards, presents Adam Guettel’s Myths and Hymns, a musical exploration of Greek mythology that’s part concert musical and part musical theater. Co-Artistic Director Erin Cressy says: ”There is no plot tying the songs together, but they are all united by common experience. Each [person] is at the beginning of a new cycle in his or her life, and they reach for each other…for guidance. There are some phenomenal solo numbers in this show, but the unity of the ensemble is what makes it so moving.”
