On our Streaming Radar this week, we’ve got spinoffs, returning favorites, and superhero adaptations galore. From elite covert operatives to brainiacs trying to save the universe and the Dark Knight himself, there’s plenty to add to your watchlist.
We’ll start with Lioness, returning for its third season on Paramount+. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the series stars Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, and Laysla De Oliveira. The series follows an elite CIA program that recruits female operatives to infiltrate dangerous terrorist organizations from the inside.
This show has only gotten better with every season. I thought Season 2 featured some of the strongest character work the series has delivered, and based on what I’ve seen, Season 3 looks poised to continue that trend. Laysla De Oliveira has become the heartbeat of the series due to the tremendous depth and vulnerability she brings to the character of Cruz. And, of course, it’s all anchored by Academy Award winner Zoe Saldaña, who continues to prove she’s one of the finest actresses working today. She balances action with emotion so well. Lioness is appointment television (if that’s still a thing in 2026), and if you haven’t jumped in yet, now is the perfect time to catch up. Season 3 begins streaming this week on Paramount+.
Up next is Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the newest chapter in The Big Bang Theory franchise. This spinoff follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom after he accidentally triggers a multiverse catastrophe using one of Sheldon and Leonard’s inventions. Alongside Denise, Bert, and Barry, Stuart must travel across alternate realities to repair the universe, encountering plenty of familiar faces along the way.
Science fiction and comedy have always been woven into the DNA of The Big Bang Theory, but this series takes a much bigger swing than its predecessors. With Chuck Lorre once again helping guide the franchise, it feels like a natural evolution while still honoring the characters fans have loved for years. Rumored guest appearances include Jon Cryer, Kaley Cuoco, and even Penn & Teller, making this an exciting next step for the franchise. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is streaming now on HBO Max.
And finally, who doesn’t love Batman?
Fresh off the excitement of Comic-Con comes Batman: Caped Crusader, executive produced by Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams. What immediately stands out is its gorgeous noir-inspired aesthetic. Gotham City feels darker, moodier, and more atmospheric than ever, placing Batman back in the role that has always defined him best: the World’s Greatest Detective.
The voice cast is outstanding, with Christina Ricci as Catwoman, Minnie Driver as The Penguin, and Jamie Chung bringing Harley Quinn to life. Familiar villains like Two-Face also make appearances, but what really impressed me is how the series reintroduces Batman’s mythology in a fresh and compelling way. It’s stylish, smart, and embraces the detective side of Batman that longtime fans have always wanted to see. Batman: Caped Crusader is streaming now on Prime Video.
