If the recent temporary closing of Mykonos Island has you in a panic, relax. Theres still plenty of Greek food in the city, and the best of the best souvlaki, spanakopita, those sweet, sweet loukoumades and other hard-to-pronounce foods will be available at this weekends Original Greek Festival. Now in its 41st year, the festival celebrates the culture, religion and music of the country, beyond just what youve seen in Anthony Quinn movies. Entertainment will include live music, childrens shows and folk dancing. Tours of the cathedral and programs about the history of the Greek Orthodox religion are also available. And after one too many glasses of wine, you just might need to wobble in there and pray for divine intervention with your hangover.
