Chaos theory tells us that while some things might seem random, nothing actually is. We learn the same thing in the exhibit “Paper Ballet: Kelly Price-Colston.” Press materials for the show indicate the exhibit is “about questioning the ‘ballet’ of chaos that surrounds us in the modern world.”

Price-Colston’s paintings, which often feature seemingly random symbols mixed with haphazard graffiti, include a variety of techniques such as collage and digitally altered photos. Price-Colston calls her style of work “artkunt” and “pre-fab,” among other things. We’ll settle for outsider.
