One Friday, June 6, Joseph “Joe P” Palmore with present the third installment of his five-part series AURA, “an immersive poetic theater experience blending spoken word, live music, movement, and visual storytelling.”

Palmore, well known in Houston for his acting throughout theaters in Houston (Jesus Caught the A Train, The Whipping Man) as well as his work as a director and educator, is also the founder of Acting Up Studios, a Houston-based creative production company. Its goal is to “empower artists and elevate Black creative voices through live performance,” Palmore says.

The audience is purposefully kept on the smaller side to maintain the sense of intimacy with the performances, as it did with the first two parts of the series: Love Is and Me’lange.
