The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is in town with its current touring effort, Zing Zang Zoom. Perhaps taking a cue from the more narrative-reliant Cirque du Soleil, this show has a fantasy-themed storyline in which the Zing master Alex and his assistant Levitytia battle against Mr. Gravity and his team of Heavies, who want to dampen the uplifting spirit of the circus (cue boos and lots of throwing of popcorn). Exotic animals joining the effort include Asian elephants, Bengal tigers and Arabian and Friesian horses. Kids who come 90 minutes before the show may meet performers of the two- and four-legged variety in Clown College and Animal Open House. Times vary. Through 25. Reliant Park, One Reliant Park. For a full schedule, call 832-667-1400 or visit www.reliantpark.com. $16 to $125.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: July 7. Continues through July 25, 2010
