From vibrant colors to subliminal messages, complicated designs to minimalist and beautiful, here’s a round-up of some great murals and street art in the Houston area. We took a look at photos shared with the Houston Press Flickr Pool (thank you very much) and supplemented the pics with a few of our favorites.
Under the Franklin Street bridge is a historic burial vault known as the Donnellan Crypt. The bodies of Timothy Donnellan (one of Houston’s earliest settlers), his wife Emily and their son Henry have since been removed. Look for the small door-shaped opening at the top of the ramp.
