Sometimes itยs what you donยt see thatยs important. Case in point: ยTempo: Photography by Lorena Guillen Vaschetti,ย currently on display at the De Santos Gallery. In her Painted Rituals series, the -Argentinean-born Vaschetti shows viewers glimpses of exotic scenes, such as soft-focus shots of the feet of aborigines dancing in Australia. The men, wearing loincloths and body paint, are dancing on what seems to be red dirt. Shown in shadows, and only from the neck down, they become all the more interesting precisely because they arenยt fully revealed. See what Vaschetti is willing to show you from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Through January 29. 1724 Richmond #A.
