The show Terra is a display of contradictions. Thereย’s a bit of street dancing here, a burst of modern style there; a shamanย’s drumbeat is quickly followed by a classical violin. Somehow, the bits of such varying styles come together to form one surprisingly cohesive and appealing whole. Choreographers from around the world contributed to the work, and performers from the European Championships, the World Cup and other modern dance tournaments have come together for it. Terraย’s storyline follows the last member of a secret order who was tasked with guarding information about a magic artifact. As he lies dying, he passes on his knowledge to his grandson, who must now go out and find the artifact in order to save the world. 8 p.m. August 12, 14 and 21; 5 p.m. August 15.
