More than 4,000 people waited in long traffic lines last night to make their way into NRG Center for the Wells Fargo Preview Party of of Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market — an explosion of color and consumerism and 300 vendors all united in the belief that the perfect Christmas is just a credit card purchase away.
Everyone seemed to be having a good time, aided mightily by the food and cocktail, wine and beer stations. Certainly if you’re going to shop for hours there’s no better way than to do it bolstered by good times all round.
The theme of this year’s market was Putting on the Ritz. and the glitter theme extended throughout the space.
The market raises money for the Houston Ballet Foundation, the Ballet Academy and its scholarship programs. So if you’re ready to shop, here’s the Nutcracker Market schedule:

Thursday – Friday, November 12 and 13, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday, November 14 and 15, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
