In 1970, before he was Rocky, before he was Rambo, Sylvester Stallone made an adult movie called The Party at Kitty and Studย’s. He got paid about $200 for the whole shebang (pun intended). The Party at Kitty and Studย’s didnย’t really make waves at first. It wasnย’t until 1978 when, capitalizing on the success of the Rocky movies (and plenty of peopleย’s fantasies), the soft-core gem was re-released as The Italian Stallion.

Stallion has the features of a good meatball sub ย— hot meat in the form of a full frontal young Stallone and plenty of cheese, with lines like Kittyย’s ย“Iย’ll be -velvet-mouthed on your shank of loveย” (weย’re not even touching the spicy sauce). Find the salami at 11:55 p.m. today and tomorrow. River Oaks Theatre, 2009 West Gray. For information, call 713-866-8881 or visit www.landmarktheatres.com. $8.25 adult admission; $6 seniors.
