This coming August, Tower of Power will celebrate 43 years as a band. Currently standing at ten members, the Bay Area-based group includes four of the founders: Emilio Castillo, Rocco Prestia, Stephen Kupka and David Garibaldi. Tower of Power is known for its tight horn section. Actually, “tight” doesn’t quite cover it — it’s more like “incredibly precise” and “lightning fast.” Credited with being one of the groups that defined the San Francisco sound, Tower of Power has a spectacular not-to-be-missed stage show.
