Uncle Charlie will likely forget more concerts than you’ll ever attend. The local artist began designing concert posters back in the ‘80s and, 18 years later, he’s still at it. He’s created his comic book-style show announcements for bands including (but nowhere near limited to) Poor Dumb Bastards, Steve Earle, Sugar Shack, James Brown, The Cramps, Ben Folds Five, The Who, Calexico, Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead and the Beastie Boys at every venue, from the now-defunct Summit and Axiom to the still-up-and-running Walter’s and Toyota Center.

Uncle Charlie will put a portion of his posters on sale today at the appropriately named “Uncle Charlie’s Art Show.” Many of his offerings will likely spawn a few “Oh, I was at that show” comments, but some are limited-edition, so we suggest getting there before your favorite memory sells out. 6 p.m. to midnight.
