This weekend is a big one in the sports world. With The NHL and NBA playoffs in full swing, and Major League Baseball rounding out its first month of the season, fans of all ages and backgrounds will certainly have something to cheer for. But one event stands to outshine them all… the boxing match we have all been waiting for.
Saturday night’s fight wasn’t even given a catchy name, as the fighters’ names stand alone in their prominence. Some are calling it “The Battle for Greatness,” and others “The Fight of The Century.” Truth is, when Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally touch gloves on Saturday evening, the whole world will be watching.
That includes several Houston rappers, whom we polled to obtain their predictions. Their answers are below:
Paul Wall sticks with The Money Team: Just as he’s done for previous fights, seen below at the press conference of the Mayweather-Canelo fight back in July 2013, The Po Up Poet stands by Floyd.

We also spoke to Bun B and Slim Thug by phone, and both chose Mayweather by decision. In Slim’s words:
I predict Mayweather because he’s never lost. He is a boxer, not a crowd pleaser. He doesn’t go for the knockout, he gets the points and has the best defense ever. I’ve been to plenty of fights where people have [predicted] the other fighter to win, and like always, Mayweather won and was at the club the same night. #TMT
