Los Alacranes Celebrate Pachuco’s Night With La Mas Chingona Contest

Pachucos y Pachucas de Houston Tejas gathered at Sara’s Ice House on North Main for an original Pachuco’s Night with contests for La Mas Chingona, Mas Chingon, best-dressed and a couples dance contest. Tejas Got Soul and Chuco Garcia kept the dance floor hopping with oldies, Chicano Soul, R&B, Tejano and Cumbia. Garcia, also a filmmaker, screened two of his short documentaries: Yo Soy Chuco and Alamo City Soul Club.
