The husband-and-wife team made up of guitarist Al Pitrelli and pianist Jane Mangini spend part of the year performing with the multi-platinum Grammy Award-winning Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but during the TSO’s off-season, the couple hits the stage as O’2L. Blending jazz, rock, blues and electronic music, Pitrelli, an in-demand session player, and Mangini, a successful jingle writer, hope to expand beyond the traditional musical limits of TSO, creating their own self-styled fusion. Both Berklee alums, Pitrelli and Mangini had an unlikely hit with their remake of the Doors’ classic “Riders on the Storm” on their 2005 release Doyle’s Brunch.
