Z-Ro is free of all charges.
Late Tuesday evening, a Houston grand jury returned a no-bill in the case of the “Mo City Don Freestyle” rapper’s alleged assault of former girlfriend Just Brittany. Citing a lack of evidence, the jury declined to pursue an indictment.
Court documents from earlier this summer alleged that Z-Ro, real name Joseph McVey, had slapped, choked, punched and dragged Just Brittany, whose real name is Brittany Bullock, in his Houston-area home. Bullock told officers she became sick from the alleged beating and went to the bathroom, where she secretly recorded video on her cell phone for over 20 minutes.
In July, Z-Ro was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault and was released on $50,000 bond. The fight between Z-Ro and Bullock was allegedly over cancelled dinner plans.
