Win some, lose some. That seems to be the story with the Aeros season.

For instance, the Aeros won game number one Friday night, defeating the San Antonio Rampage 6-5 in a shootout. The loss comes in terms of another player. But unlike Roman Voloshenko, who split to go home to Russia, right winger Cal Clutterbuck, a 19-year old rookie, got the call to report to the big club in Minneapolis. It looks like Clutterbuck was called up as a short-term insurance policy because of injuries, and he may be returning to Houston in a couple of weeks.

When asked why Clutterbuck got the call, and not some of the more experienced players, Wild assistant GM Tom Lynn told the Minnesota media, โ€œWe called Kevin [Constantine, Aeros coach] and asked him who the hardest working player had been over the last few games. Kevin said it was Clutterbuck.โ€

The Aeros play San Antonio twice this coming weekend. Thereโ€™s a rematch in San Antonio on Saturday, then a Sunday afternoon battle here at Toyota Center. โ€“ John Royal
