Houstonians came together at City Hall for a gathering in protest of President-Elect Donald Trump. A leader of the group stated that, “With Trump elected, so many racist, sexist, homophobic people are showing their true, evil colors. We are fighters for LGBTQ+, women’s, and minorities’ rights. Even though he may be president, we still have a voice. We have to stand together in numbers and show that we aren’t afraid to stand for our values. A president should NOT strike fear into the hearts of the citizens! Together we stand, our voices can’t be drowned!” Houston police were present as protesters marched throughout downtown. Everyone remained peaceful throughout the night. All photos by Doogie Roux.
