Athena Gun Club hosted Smith & Wesson Day on July 15 in Houston. Attendees were allowed to handle and, for a small fee with limited ammo, shoot all Smith & Wesson models on display. This was a great way to try a variety of guns and get a feel for different caliber weapons. The event drew members of the club (the largest in Houston) as well as the public to the popular indoor shooting range on the west side. Also featured were two giveaways, one by luck of the draw and a second for the winner of the fastest shootout contest in the club’s state of the art simulator room.
