A Spring woman has been charged with aggravated assault on a family member after allegedly shooting her husband in a dispute over a pet cat, court documents show.
Audrey Deen Miller, 42, was arrested and her husband is hospitalized in non-life-theatening condition after the incident Tuesday morning. He has since returned home.
If what Miller told constables is true, the husband had it coming — she said he threatened to shoot the pet first, and had a pellet gun at the ready.
Her response: She “pulled out a .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun and shot her husband in the stomach,” cops told KHOU.
And, to be frank, with a mugshot like the one she’s sporting, we’re not sure we would have called her pet-related bluff.
The cat, by the way, was not injured.
