The Baylor Bears came into Houston and played the role of spoiler as they earned their fifth straight victory, while handing the Cougars their second straight defeat on Saturday. Wearing their “Houston Blue” uniforms for senior night, the Cougars failed to score an offensive touchdown, were held to 57 total yards in the first half and committed four turnovers. The loss eliminates the Cougars from bowl contention and makes this the second consecutive year they have failed to qualify.
