There are and will be many storylines heading into the Texans’ 2014 season, and there are many aspects of the team that need to line up “just so” if the team is going to have any hope of going 6-10 duplicating the massive turnarounds of previous 2-14-teams-selecting-first-overall.
Yes, selecting a quarterback and having that player not just pan out, but excel is vital, but so too are the returns from injury of a couple key guys — Brian Cushing at linebacker and Arian Foster at running back.
I have no idea what Cushing has been up to. My guess would probably be something that involves bending solid steel and wrestling coked up gorillas, but I’m not totally sure.
Arian Foster, we do know, has been back on Twitter, and if his return to Twitter is any indicator of his return from his back surgery, then look for around 1,600 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns.
The highlights of Arian Foster’s Week 1 return to the “digital realm”…
DISDAIN FOR THE NCAA Foster was asked by several people who he was selecting in his brackets, and a couple things became clear — first, Arian don’t do brackets. Second, fuck the NCAA.
I will never support the ncaa. RT @SirGaffey: @ArianFoster who’s your pick to win the NCAA b ball championship?

LEGALIZATION OF WEED Colorado has legalized marijuana, not sure if you’ve heard. (You’ve totally heard, I know.) Arian Foster is curious how that whole “weed” thing has been going, tax ramifications, revenue, etc. (Note to the Denver Broncos: Keep your greasy Peyton mitts off of Arian Foster!)
Coloradans, how has the maryjane rush effected life positive or negative?
โ Arian Foster (@ArianFoster) March 16, 2014

POLITICS Arian Foster is clearly “party agnostic.” This was funny….
I don’t do gangs. RT @The4thFitz: @ArianFoster Republican or Democrat?
โ Arian Foster (@ArianFoster) March 16, 2014
“WE ARE PEOPLE, NOT SLABS OF MEAT” TWEET Arian is good for one of these a week. This time it was ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter who irked Foster enough to remind everyone that football players are actual people, dammit!!!
They bought their services. Not ‘them’, Adam. RT @AdamSchefter: How Broncos bought DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, TJ Ward and Emmanuel Sanders..

DRAFT DAY RELATED TWEETS The skeptics out there think that Arian Foster got back on Twitter solely to promote his upcoming movie Draft Day, starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner (and Arian Foster!). (cue Morgan Freeman Shawshank voice) … me, I just think he got back on Twitter to feel normal again…. At any rate, he did tweet about Draft Day…
Was an honor working with director Ivan Reitman, writers: Scott Rothman and Rajiv Joseph. A great experience.

Told Kevin Costner my mom made me watch Dances With Wolves when I was young. #Chumanitutankaowachi

So if you had Arian Foster in your fantasy Twitter league, it was a good week. Back surgery will not stop him from being a social media beast!
