Best Dog Park: Levy Park

The love we have for our four-legged friends is unparalleled, so it goes without question they deserve a nice romp in the dog park every now and then to play with their friends and get some outside time. That brings us to Levy Park, this year’s pick for best dog park.

No need to drive to the outskirts of town for this puppy paradise. It is conveniently located inside the loop so that Sparky, Zeus, and Miss Chatelaine can enjoy an oasis of sunny skies and open air in the middle of the bustling city.

The canine playground is divided into two areas so that both large dogs and small dogs can roam around creatures of their own size. The man-made doggo day spot also includes astroturf-topped hills to provide dynamic exploration spaces as well as timed waterspout features to keep the fur babies cooled off and entertained in the Houston heat. Plenty of tree-shaded benches line the park for humans to catch a break from the sun, too.

In case a trip to the dog park becomes a family affair, the neighboring activity lawn and children’s park provide amusement galore, and a nearby kiosk offers snacks to keep everyone fed and hydrated.

Levy Park is canine tested and dog approved as this year’s pawsitively best pooch park.
