Best Sports Fans: The Houston Astros

It’s true that Astros fans have had a lot to cheer about in this, the golden age of baseball in Houston. But their intensity has yet to wane. This season, the Astros are likely to break the three million barrier at Minute Maid Park for the first time. Even mid-season, mid-week games against uninteresting opponents are packed. It’s a tribute to a city that has been much maligned over the years for its sometimes erratic passion for and attendance at games. Not so since 2017. It only seems to have ramped up as the ‘Stros try to build a sustainable fanbase in good times and bad.
