That empty plot of land along Gray in the Montrose/Fourth Ward area, scheduled to be the home of Carnegie Vanguard High, may look like this before long.
The Houston Architectural Forum has posted pictures from a Planning Commission agenda item on the proposed project.
The highly regarded magnet school, for gifted and talented students, will share the property with Lincoln Middle School.
Right now Carnegie is way out in the suburban plains south of town; the inner-city location will be a big change.
We haven’t been following the project all that closely, so we’re not sure if these are final, finished renditions of what will definitely go up. We’ve asked HISD for confirmation.
